These terms apply to Ardmore Residents Directory. By using the service, you agree to them. Do not use the service if you do not accept these terms.

1. Nature of This Service

Ardmore Residents Directory is privately operated. It provides descriptions and links to public rolls, indexes, and directory collections relevant to Ardmore, Carter County, and Oklahoma. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with an office, court, or records custodian.

2. Permitted Use

Use this service only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or material located through it, to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft or fraud
  • Make FCRA-regulated decisions (credit, employment, tenant, insurance)
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
  • Interfere with the site's operation or security

3. No Consumer Reports

Ardmore Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing offered here, including a result from a linked tool, is a consumer report. It may not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.

4. Third-Party Links

Government portals and outside services, including the Carter County property search, Carter County Clerk records search, and Ardmore Library genealogy resources, operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their information, availability, pricing, or handling of data.

5. Availability and Accuracy

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties. We do not promise that an item is accurate, complete, current, or continuously available, nor that a linked portal will return a correct result.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of this service or a linked resource, including a decision based on a record found through it.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold the service operators harmless from claims or demands, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that arise from misuse of this service or a violation of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. You may link to a page or quote a brief attributed excerpt. Republishing full pages or systematically copying material is not permitted.

9. Changes to Terms

We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

10. Restricting Access

We may block or limit access, without notice and at our discretion, for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service.

11. Oklahoma Law

Oklahoma law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Public-record access questions are separately governed by the Oklahoma Open Records Act, 51 O.S. §§24A.1–24A.31, and the custodian’s applicable rules.

12. Severability

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
